VonShef 10-Litre Air Fryer Multi Grill
The VonShef 10.5-QT/10-Litre Health Turbo Air Fryer is an alternative to the standard “kettle” format of the Air fryer, it affords a lot bigger cooking capacity too, the Philips and GoWise models typically only have 3 litres, so this model is about 3 times larger.
The control panel can select
- manual cooking 120 and 450°F, and 60 minute timer
- auto settings:
I found that using the manual settings was the best, the presets tended to need modifying which took more time than setting it up manually.
This design is one which uses much better insulation in the material of the main body of the fryer, which makes it much cooler to the touch and so much safer to use than some of the other airfryers we have reviewed on this site. It also helps to get up to the working temperature very quickly. The heating technology used is Halogen, which produces instant heat, unlike the conventional heating elements used by Philips and GoWise. This is ultra efficient in power for the heat produced, so saves money
- Instant heat – no preheating required
- Cooks much quicker than a conventional oven
- Halogen heat produced very economically – only a 1200 watt consumption saving 20%
Another great advantage of this model over other Halogen ovens is the hinged lid, when it has done its job, the lid is hot and with an ordinary halogen oven design its not easy lifting it off the top and putting down safely onto a stand. Not a problem, the lid stays upright, while you lift out the contents
- Skewer for roasting
- Cage for chips
- multi level rack to cook two or more items at the same time
- tongs to lift out the food or rack
Note: several buyers reported items missing so do check the inventory listed before ordering, there is a pack available of accessories, by VonShef.
What buyers thought of the Vonshef 10 liter AirFryer…
Care must be taken not to knock the lid when its open, it tends to be top heavy (unstable) when the lid is open.
If you have the items to be “fried” spread out so that some air can circulate, they turn out nice and crispy, particularly with a light toss of oil beforehand
